How do I fix Fatal error when installing 1993 program to Windows XP?
I have an old computer football game (All American College Football by Micro Sports Inc) produced in 1993. All modules work (such as stats keeper etc) except the actual game play. When I try to play the screen goes blank and displays a computer error listed below:
XP error FAtal Error General Protection fault Protected
PID 001 TD 0001 SID 0001 Error code 0000
AX=0000 bx=0001 cx=ffff dx=022e si=0000 DI 95f2 BP=0104 DS=0000 es=0367 ss:sp=016f:ofez flags=3206
I suspect there is a graphics problem. Does anyone know how to fix it?
ALso, whe I try to load to Windows 95 machine I get an error message LV away2.rsc (rsc is a file extention for the program)
sx virtualfree=39928660
try running the program in compatibility mode under xp
right click on the program and there should be a "compatibility" tab
