Football Helmet Decal
Do I have to buy helmet for my son in little league football?
I live in Winder, Ga and my son - 11 yrs old - wants to play football. Do most leagues include a helmet and/or shoulder pads or do I have to purchase them for my son?
My son 5'2" seems to grow 4-5" inches every year and I envision having to buy new stuff every year.
Their website indicates jersey, pants, & helmet decals, but I would think that is what he gets to keep. Hopefully they will loan him some equipment for the season, since I am unemployed and don't know if I can afford it.
The cost for the league is $ 85.00.
They should give your child equipment. My brother who plays football (in PA) has always been given everything except a mouthguard and football spikes. Everything else is provided to the players by the football boosters. If it is $85 a pop, I would expect the league to be paying for some of the expenses. It's only $20 or so for mine, and we get everything with a few exceptions.
